The 77-year-old father of two seemed to be alluding to her marriage with Pitt, which fell apart due to his involvement with Angelina Jolie.
The Greek actor also wouldn't mind if his eligible daughter happened to choose someone who shared their heritage – "if he were the right person for her."
In the meantime, 42-year-old Jennifer, who does "not keep in touch" with Pitt, is "doing extremely well," her father said.
The actress told Vogue in 2008 that she hated being described as "unlucky in love" and "poor lonely Jen" in the media.
"I actually feel I've been unbelievably lucky in love," she told the magazine. "Just because at this stage my life doesn't have the traditional framework to it — the husband and the two kids and the house in Connecticut — it's mine. It's my experience."
